June 29, 2022 House music veteran Marshall Jefferson had filed a lawsuit in New York’s US District court. Jefferson alleges Kanye West sample “Move Your Body” used 22 times on his song “Flowers” from his Donda 2 album without permission. Both teams have been in discussion and West team admitted to the sampling without a license and still never took a license out after their conversation. Jefferson and Ultra International Music have yet to hear anything further from the West’s team.
